About Us

Madrasah Baytul ‘Ilm was established on 3rd December 2003 to meet the need of providing a quality Deeni learning experience for inspirational Muslims; children, youth and adults, both male and female. From its humble beginnings in a small terraced house in Bakewell Street, Madrasah Baytul ‘Ilm has expanded to include 26 members of staff and approximately 500 students spread across 23 Nazirah Classes, 7 Hifz Classes, 3 Adult Classes and a full time Alimiyyah Course.

In order to provide our students with the best possible accommodation, resources and learning experience, Madrasah Baytul ‘Ilm purchased the former church on Spinney Hill Road in November 2008. The building cost £491,000 which was funded mainly through Qarze-Hasanah.

With the Grace, Mercy and Favour of our Creator, and your most generous donations, Madrasah Baytul ‘Ilm is now free of debt. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has opened up their hearts and donated to this worthy cause.

However, we are in need of your continuous support. Please continue donating to allow us to meet our running costs (gas, electricity, water etc.) and conduct other ongoing activities.
